Okay, first of all i'm uploading this from my phone so it'll have a ton of mistakes so please excuse them. :)
I've read in a lot of places that the world has become a really small place to live in. I mean everyone is so connected, yea a lot because of the rapid advancement in technology. I mean social networking sites are being thronged by zillons of people. The call rates have dropped drastically from what they were. Its like so easy to talk to someone even in antartica today. You can still be the best of friends with someone who you don't meet for years together. Yea and thats because there is a way to connect, and more importantly everyone has access to this way of connection.
But what my question really is that with this kind of virtual connection, are we losing the real connection? I mean ya you stay in touch and all that but is it the same when you meet and interact with that person. I mean with this whole virtual world talking over, are people saying lol instead of laughing? * I personally know of someone who did that once and let me tell you, it was weird. * Ya well, coming back, I'm just wondering if this whole virtual world is bring us closer or talking is apart?

What Kind of Boots am I? :)
You Are Rain Boots |
You are a very playful and fun loving person. Nothing can slow you down. You are dreamy, and you can find the romance in anything. The littlest things make you smile. You are outgoing and friendly. You always find yourself talking to strangers. You are optimistic about the world. Even when it's raining out, the sun is shining in your heart. |

Zappy New Year!
Wel I've been meaning to write this entry from a really really long time now, but really its been a kindda hectic new year, so far.
Anyway, coming back, yes, one of my new year resolutions is to update my blog regularly now, and no, I don't belive in the 'resolutions are meant to be broken' phrase, I will try my best. :)
So here's wishing you a very happy new year!
This year,
be good, be bad
be serious, be fun
love, and be loved
fight, forgive and forget
be genuine, be fake
be awful, be good
be black and white, be technicolor
be pretty, be ugly
be passive, be aggressive
be secretive, be forthright
be disgusting, be pleasant
be terrible, be amusing
be nice, be naughty
be anything you want to be, be yourself!
This year resolve to do all the things you've always wanted to.
Study ants, go for an holiday, sit alone on the beach, watch four movies back to back in a theater, eat like a pig, give up sweets, write with your left hand, sit all night and read a novel, write a blog, make a scrap book, write your journal, research criminal psychology, get a tatoo done, learn all you can about sun-signs,get a pet, speak to someone you want to speak to but haven't spoken to, try and communicate with the zulu's, sing an album, get drenched in the rain, break a signal, donate to charity, smile, learn a new work each day, wear green nail polish, paint, get a makeover, play thumb fight, break your own highscore a pinball, learn about timezones, learn weight conversions, watch tv soaps, study whales and penguines!
May this new year be new in every sense of the word.
May this year be a year of fun and learing and knowledge.
May this year be happy and zaappy and weird. :)

People Watching.
The airport is a great place for people watching.
You can find a wide variety of people here. From oldies to kids, from foreigners to our very own desi girls!
I was at the airport a couple of days back and it surprised me how intruging a task people watching can be.
My flight was delayed and I was hungry, I don't like the food at the airport excepting the cookie man ka eggless brownie, so I took that in hand, and, watched.
At first I saw a guy with an IIM ka t-shirt reading some high fundu novel whose name I've never ever heard off. Okay. Expected. But the funny thing about him was that he wore sunglasses, inside tha airport! I don't know why but I find people who wear sunglasses in closed areas where there is no sun really weird!
Then I saw a lady, office going types, sitting on the laptap, talking on the phone, nothing unusual about her but I just wanted to mention her.
Then I saw a foreigner lady, British I think, she was there from like an hour but her eyes never moved off the television, India was playing England.
Then I saw a bunch of kids, creating a havoc and not even realising it!
Then a lady, no I think I must say girl, she was dressed as if she was going for a party in the middle of the night! And ya, she had her pitch black glasses on! * I don't know whats with these people and glares!*
Then I saw a famiy I knew, they lived in our apartments like years ago, now those kids were all grown up and non recognisable.*donno if thats a word though*
Then there was a couple sitting right behind me, they are playing cards and really enjoying it.
And finally I saw a man who looked just like Nature Baba *vivid MTV fans would know him*. He has long hair, a big beard and is round in shape, and he kind of looks like and modern early man! :)
People who know me, would know what a philosophical idiot I am, so what I observed from this situation was that, today, people are so involved with themselves today that they don't find the need to look around and talk to other people, everyone is with their ipods or phones or with their books and newspapers and tv!
Has man become a for-my-own-self-animal from a social animal?

Expectation.
Someone I know has rightly said, expecting anything of other people only leads to disappointment. But the human mind is such, that it automatically starts expecting, and sometimes knowing full well that disappointment awaits you at the next turn, you still expect.
I don't know why, but it does happen, I'm sure you would agree.
Most of the time, we expect from people we care for, we don't care to expect from the others, we know its just not worth it. So its not like we expect from the wrong people, now you would say that there are no wrong and right people. I would agree, its just that, we don't choose the people we expect from, its like automatically tuned.
Specially for me, its not something I control. Something chooses stuff I expect for me, I don't know if its my mind or my heart, I don't know the difference either, but I know that people I expect stuff from are people I really love, people I care about.
One more thing is that, most of the time, we expect even from places where we know we are only going to get disappointment, some may call it a little ray of hope that things will happen, some others may cal it a bleak of light in a dark room. And the most amusing part is that we expect even after we are disappointed, even if we don't want to, its automatically tuned.
Again, quoting and friend, "First time shame on her, Second time shame on you, for being so stupid to let him back knowing he'd already done it once." - Its this thing which automatically tunes stuff for us, our mind/heart that gives the second chance, third chance and every other chance, its stupid and dumb, its like digging a hole for yourself and jumping into it, but then again, its it for people we love, we trust, even if all we really want to do is shake that person up and give them one tight slap, just beat them up so bad that they are in the hospital, and then, you take stupid yellow flowers to the hospital. Its all so stupid, but still, it happens, not only with me but with you too, if you're telling me it doesn't, you just not looking hard enough.
This post was kind of written for someone, I'm sorry but I did expect better, and I don't know why, but I can't stop it even I want to, its that stupid automatic thing, so you don't have anything to worry about. *Do not deciper this as "Karishma's not angry anymore"*
I'm not mentioning who that someone is, but again expecting that someone to understand.

Calvin and Hobbes!
The following are my fav Calvin and Hobbes strips! :D

The only time Calvin gets what he wants from his parents!
I really want to try this excuse once in college when I've not completed my assignment on time!
;)
I've showed this to my dad, he told me if I try anything like this, he'd be glad if I stated at the phone booth after that, but dad, I'm gonna try this once, and I know you'll come to pick me! ;)
This is the best "Calvin-Susie" strip ever!
You have to look at it carefully to understand, not many people would.
Someday, I'l write my own philosophy book too! :)
Yes, it is really hard to argue with someone who looks so happy, it just makes you sooooo happy, to see them sooo happy! :)
Too, all the people who want me to learn how to swim, I'll survive! :P
Me too!! Me too!! Me too!! :D
Philosophy #2594: Get out only when there is nothing on TV!
*Calvin watches as much TV as I do! :P :P :P*
COOOOOOLLLL
So much for adventure! Buh :|
TAG!
Wanna go out for dinner, learn how from Calvin! ;)
They make me smile with tears in my eyes! :')
I know there are millons of people, all around the world who relate to Calvin and Hobbes,
some of them have stuffed tiger friends, some of them do not,
some of them watch as much TV as Cavin does, some others don't,
some of them have Calvin's wild imagination, some of them don't,
some of them are as naughty as Cavin, some of them wished they could be.
Whatever they relate to, everyone loves the witty, naughty boy and the stuffed tiger,
they have their own little world and sometimes I get lost in it. :)
And the fact is, I love to get lost in it, its really nice to read about two people that have "Fun" *in the true sense of the word with nothing but a cardboard box. *True Calvin and Hobbes fans would understand ;)*
All hail Bill Watterson for making Calvin and Hobbes, we love you, we love Calvin and Hobbes! :D

I'm not blogging enough
I'm not blogging enough, not that anyone cares, but still, I'm supposed to blog *thats a rule I made for myself8.
Well as far as I know, there is only one person who checks my blog for updates, without me tellin em to check out what I've written *which is absolute bullshit, according to some people*, but still, the point here is that I'm not writting enogh.
Maybe thats cuz I'm not having enough to write on, I mean, its hard to think of something you can write one, its not as easy as it looks, just key in a headline and let your fingers fly on the keyboard and create magic, its a lot of work, first think of what you want to write on, then think of how you wiull write it and blah and blah, but its also stupid of me saying that I don't have stuff to write on, there is an ocean of things we could write on, but why don't I find something that I would like to write on.
OK I've got something, Did you know that crocodiles can move their liver around their body to change their center of gravity in the water? , saw that on Discovery yesterday *yes, I do watch Discovery sometimes*.
Crocodiles are closer to the bird species than the reptiles and they have a four chambered heart - like the homo sepiens*human beings*!
See, thanks to me, if you've read this entry so far, you've learnt a new thing! :D
I must do that you know, learn a new thing each day, and write about it, then maybe, I'd never think I don't have things to write on. Yay!!
They say that if you write out stuff, its clearer and if you have a problem, you find a solution easily, I'd never had thought it works until this moment.
Wow, somethings are just worth writting down. *ohkay, that was lame*
It sounds like a unwritten philosophy, just like, 'people with big houses always have small dogs and vice versa' *read it in a book, "All creatures great and small - James Herriot" *
Ya so coming back, I do hope I blog more often! :D
Bbye! *who am I kidding, only one person reads this*
